Cupertino-based tech giant Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 3 at its iPhone 17 event. Let’s take a closer look at the features of the AirPods Pro 3, which will be available on September 19th.
AirPods Pro 3 Features
The new-generation AirPods Pro offer twice the noise cancellation of the previous model. These headphones, which feature live translation thanks to Apple Intelligence, promise a better audio experience than their predecessors. Apple is also bringing a new live translation feature to the AirPods Pro 3. ANC will lower the speaker volume and translate it into your own language.
In addition to the AirPods Pro 3, Apple is also bringing several new features to its AirPods with the release of iOS 26 this fall. In iOS 26, AirPods can be used as a camera remote for the camera app, and AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 will now support studio-quality audio for songs, videos, podcasts, and more.
Apple is also improving call quality in iOS 26 for the AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2, as well as improving charging reminders and pausing audio if you fall asleep.
Apple last made a major update to the AirPods Pro lineup three years ago with the second-generation debut, featuring improvements to sound quality, noise cancellation, and a built-in speaker in the charging case. Apple subsequently updated the AirPods Pro 2 in 2023 with dust resistance and a USB-C charging case instead of the company’s Lightning port.
These AirPods Pro 3, which feature a heart rate monitor, appear to be unrivaled in health and fitness. Thanks to IP57 sweat and water resistance, athletes will be especially reassured. The AirPods Pro 3, which will offer 8 hours of normal use and 10 hours in hearing aid mode, will be available for $249.
